ClearPoint provides physicians with routine laboratory tests, as well as anatomic and reference tests through collaboration with Pathologists Bio–Medical Laboratories and med fusion, a local reference laboratory.

The company’s focus is on providing efficient pre and post analytical support to physicians in the North Texas community to help decrease the costs associated with the episode of care, and to improve the quality of patient outcomes.

The ClearPoint leadership team, through its working relationship with med fusion, brings decades of experience and best practices from respected healthcare organizations, reference labs and information technology (IT) organizations.

Leadership Team

Dr. Benton Middleman

Chief Medical Officer

Dr. Middleman serves as our Chief Medical Officer. Dr. Middleman has practiced medicine at PBM since July of 1998. He is an active clinical and community leader and serves as a PBM managing partner. His vast experience in laboratory medicine was gained through his leadership at institutions including Baylor Medical Centers (Grapevine, Garland and Uptown), Kindred Hospital of Dallas and Baylor University Medical Center. Dr. Middleman received his BA in biology at the University of Texas and his MD from the University of Texas Medical School. He earned Chief Resident during residency training at Emory University Hospital Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine. Dr. Middleman has been an invited lecturer, published on many important medical topics, and is a member of the Texas Medical Association and Tarrant County Medical Society. He is a Fellow Member of the College of American Pathologists as well as a CAP Inspector.

Thomas J. Gooding

Chief Operating Officer & Chief Information Officer

Mr. Gooding currently serves as our Chief Operating Officer and Chief Information Officer. With a strong background in healthcare management, IT transformation and operational improvement, he has served as Vice President and CIO of the Alton Ochsner Medical Foundation, where he spearheaded a novel plan to improve the performance of IT systems to enhance operational accountability and effectiveness. He has also served as the Chief Operating Officer of First Consulting Group’s Outsourcing Division which supported more than 20 healthcare systems throughout the United States. Mr. Gooding received his BA from Duke University and MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

Chaarles G. Fogelgren, MBA

Vice President and General Manager, Clinical Trials

Mr. Fogelgren serves as our Vice President of Clinical Trials. Mr. Fogelgren was most recently Global Head and Senior Director of Laboratory Data Management at Q2 Solutions where he led the turnaround of a global team with sites in India, Europe, and North America that performed all master and protocol specific programming and validation, data integration, and data delivery. Prior to that, he spent almost 20 years in preclinical development from early research to IND directed toxicology as well as the development of several security and data mining technologies for government and life science applications. Mr. Fogelgren received his undergraduate degree in Anthropology from The George Washington University and his Master of Business Administration from the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina.

Jessica Landestrait

Vice President, Service Delivery

With over 14 years of dedicated healthcare experience, Ms. Landestrait is a proven leader and committed team player with expertise in business development, operations management, human resource transitions, process improvement and project management. She previously served as Director of Business Development for Computer Sciences Corporation’s emerging Healthcare Division. Prior to that she served as Director of Business Development at First Consulting Group (FCG). She was part of the core founding team of FCG’s Healthcare outsourcing division, FCG Management Services, where she worked with clients such as New York Presbyterian Healthcare System, University of Pennsylvania Health System and UMASS Memorial Health Care.
