ClearPoint provides physicians with routine laboratory tests, as well as anatomic and reference tests through collaboration with Pathologists Bio–Medical Laboratories and med fusion, a local reference laboratory.

Leadership Team

Jon Hart

Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Hart brings 34 years of leadership and large-scale laboratory leadership experience. Previously, Mr. Hart served as president and CEO of Aurora Diagnostics, and he successfully led the business expansion and growth of Genzyme Genetics, a division of Genzyme Corporation, focused on molecular diagnostics, genetics, and highly esoteric testing. Additionally, his laboratory experience extends into other business channels such as Arthur Young & Company and Quest Diagnostics. Consequently, Mr. Hart is uniquely qualified to lead med fusion into the 21st century with new approaches in precision medicine, genetic testing and molecular diagnostics.

Dr. Benton Middleman

Chief Medical Officer

Dr. Middleman serves as our Chief Medical Officer. Dr. Middleman has practiced medicine at PBM since July of 1998. He is an active clinical and community leader and serves as a PBM managing partner. His vast experience in laboratory medicine was gained through his leadership at institutions including Baylor Medical Centers (Grapevine, Garland and Uptown), Kindred Hospital of Dallas and Baylor University Medical Center. Dr. Middleman received his BA in biology at the University of Texas and his MD from the University of Texas Medical School. He earned Chief Resident during residency training at Emory University Hospital Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine. Dr. Middleman has been an invited lecturer, published on many important medical topics, and is a member of the Texas Medical Association and Tarrant County Medical Society. He is a Fellow Member of the College of American Pathologists as well as a CAP Inspector.

Lori Brisbin

Chief Commercial Officer & VP of Strategic Initiatives

Ms. Brisbin is a seasoned professional, most recently serving as Vice President of Commercial Operations for Caris Life Sciences in Dallas Texas. In this role, she was responsible for implementing the global strategic initiatives of the Caris Molecular Intelligence profiling services. Prior to Caris Life Sciences, she held leadership positions with DxMarketing and Asuragen, Inc. in Austin, Texas. She has also spent 12 years at Roche Molecular Diagnostics and Roche Diagnostics Corporation. Lori received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Albany (New York) and her Master of Science degree in molecular biology from Syracuse University.

Patricia L. Pryor, CPA

Chief Financial Officer

Mrs. Pryor has held finance positions in the healthcare industry for over 15 years. Before joining med fusion, Mrs. Pryor served in various financial roles at AmeriPath, a pathology service provider, advancing to Vice President of Finance and Billing where she managed finance and billing services for 28 practices servicing 380 hospitals across 18 states. Prior to AmeriPath, she held CFO roles at a manufacturing company developing automated filling and packaging equipment for the food and pharmaceutical industry and at a Photographic Processing Laboratory.

Thomas J. Gooding

Chief Operating Officer & Chief Information Officer

Mr. Gooding currently serves as our Chief Operating Officer and Chief Information Officer. With a strong background in healthcare management, IT transformation and operational improvement, he has served as Vice President and CIO of the Alton Ochsner Medical Foundation, where he spearheaded a novel plan to improve the performance of IT systems to enhance operational accountability and effectiveness. He has also served as the Chief Operating Officer of First Consulting Group’s Outsourcing Division which supported more than 20 healthcare systems throughout the United States. Mr. Gooding received his BA from Duke University and MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

Bill Vernier

Vice President, Quality and Regulatory Affairs

Mr. Vernier brings 27 years of clinical laboratory experience. He previously served as the Vice President of Laboratory Operations for Silliker Inc. in Chicago, Illinois. In this role, he was responsible for the laboratory operations of Silliker in the U.S., Canada and Mexico. Prior to Silliker, Inc., he was the Vice President of Operations for PGxHealth, in New Haven Connecticut. At PGxHealth, he led the cardiac genetic testing division. He also spent 17 years at Quest Diagnostics where he was the Managing Director of Quest’s Nevada business unit. Bill also served as a Six Sigma Master Black Belt at Quest Diagnostics. Bill received his Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology from the University of North Texas and is a registered Medical Technologist.

Chaarles G. Fogelgren, MBA

Vice President and General Manager, Clinical Trials

Mr. Fogelgren serves as our Vice President of Clinical Trials. Mr. Fogelgren was most recently Global Head and Senior Director of Laboratory Data Management at Q2 Solutions where he led the turnaround of a global team with sites in India, Europe, and North America that performed all master and protocol specific programming and validation, data integration, and data delivery. Prior to that, he spent almost 20 years in preclinical development from early research to IND directed toxicology as well as the development of several security and data mining technologies for government and life science applications. Mr. Fogelgren received his undergraduate degree in Anthropology from The George Washington University and his Master of Business Administration from the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina.

Melissa G. Dexter

Vice President, Human Resources

Ms. Dexter previously served as the Vice President of Human Resources for JP Energy, a provider of services in the oil and gas industry. Prior to JP Energy, she served in senior human resource roles supporting businesses in healthcare, and consulting. She spent seven years at AmeriPath (Dallas and Florida) in progressively senior human resource roles, advancing to the senior HR leadership position of one of the nation’s largest pathology services providers.

David P. Robinson

Director, Compliance & Contract Administration

Mr. Robinson serves as our Director of Compliance & Contract Administration. Mr. Robinson has been in the healthcare industry for approximately 8 years with various roles in compliance, finance and accounting. Prior to joining med fusion, Mr. Robinson served as the Manager of Internal Audit at AmeriPath/Quest Diagnostics, leading operational audits as well as Sarbanes-Oxley documentation. Prior to that role, Mr. Robinson was with Verizon for 19 years and held various managerial positions in finance, operations, and audit. Mr. Robinson is Certified in Healthcare Compliance and is a Certified Internal Auditor and Certified Fraud Examiner.

Jessica Landestrait

Vice President, Service Delivery

With over 14 years of dedicated healthcare experience, Ms. Landestrait is a proven leader and committed team player with expertise in business development, operations management, human resource transitions, process improvement and project management. She previously served as Director of Business Development for Computer Sciences Corporation’s emerging Healthcare Division. Prior to that she served as Director of Business Development at First Consulting Group (FCG). She was part of the core founding team of FCG’s Healthcare outsourcing division, FCG Management Services, where she worked with clients such as New York Presbyterian Healthcare System, University of Pennsylvania Health System and UMASS Memorial Health Care.

Tiffany S. Morris

VP of Marketing and Product Development

Ms. Morris serves as our Vice President of Marketing and Product Development. Ms. Morris brings over 10 years of experience in marketing and clinical research. She previously served as the Director of Marketing for Myriad RBM Inc., a subsidiary of Myriad Genetics, Inc. Prior to Myriad RBM, Ms. Morris served in various marketing and sales positions centered on product and account management at Asuragen, Inc. Before her marketing and sales roles, Ms. Morris served as a Clinical Research Associate at PPD, Inc. and as a Sr. Assistant Scientist at Ambion, Inc. Ms. Morris received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Texas State University and her Master of Science degree in Biotechnology from Johns Hopkins University.
